About me

I am a highly creative designer with over 10 years of experience in the fields of digital design and ecommerce. I have a passion for solving complex problems and collaborating effectively with teams to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for users. I work well under pressure and excel when navigating agile situations that require quick thinking and adaptability. On top of that I build compelling digital branding and art direction to a team to build on brand design systems that drive business objectives.

Experience

Walmart Canada, Manager Art direction (walmart.ca)

December 2022 - Present

As the Manager of Art Direction for Seasonal Events, I oversee the digital experience of all seasonal events on Walmart.ca. My role ensures that branding is aligned and consistent with in-store signage. Alongside my team of designers, we develop the digital visual design system that is utilized across the digital experience.

September 2022 - December 2021 - Lead designer of hardlines, electronics, toys, entertainment on Walmart.ca

May 2017 - September 2022 - Lead designer of apparel, home, appliances and furniture on Walmart.ca
Key projects: lead designer in a omni test pilot of a maternity kiosk. Objective was to design an experience for customers to browse maternity items online, in-store. Designed the customer journey from the tablet experience and worked with developers to execute the end result which would populate a QR code, where customers can scan and purchase maternity items right there in-store.

March 2014 - April 2017

I joined Walmart in 2014 at the time when it was a fairly new eCommerce website. During that time we launched Online grocery pickup and I was part of the team that built out the initial print collateral and online landing page experience. I was Involved in creating all back room signage, KPI boards and promotional print assets. Designed the initial landing page for digital experience of grocery pickup.

August 2011 - March 2014

I joined The Shopping Channel during the time the brand was exploring expanding to private label products. I helped with creating and building promotional campaigns and landing pages in alignment with corporate and event style guides. Making sure digital assets had a consistent look and feel with on air products and aligning with pricing. Working with multiple stakeholders on the “Today Showstopper’ Making sure the product feature was appealing in banners and drive click through activation. I was also involved in optimization testing in email (A/B testing weekly and daily emails to understand customer behaviours) and presenting findings through omniture reports to the team.

March 2010 - February 2013

During my time at Impact Design Marketing I help support in designing Email blasts as well as Email deployments, for marketing clients such as: Marlin Travel / Transat, Resort To The Best, Royal Lepage. Used Constant Contact to code and upload/deploy newsletters.
